Longfield Nissan Patrol Y61 30-Spline CV Joint & Axle Kit

The Longfield™ Nissan Patrol Y61 30-Spline CV Joint & Axle Kit is a heavy-duty front axle upgrade for the Nissan Patrol Y61.

The Longfield™ Gun Drilled 30-spline CV joints (Birfields) are manufactured from 100% chromoly and precision polished to remove imperfections which may cause stress risers. The internal components of the CV joints are manufactured from 4340 chromoly steel and dual heat treated for increased strength.

Gun Drilled CV Joint Greasing System

Each CV joint features an M8 grease nipple at the end of the stub shaft and is gun drilled through the centre of the CV joint. This allows grease to pass through the grease fitting directly into the internal components.

This makes servicing and re-greasing the CV joints considerably easier by eliminating the need to dismantle the axle simply to service the CV joints.

Machined Spline Saver

The Longfield 30-spline CV joints also feature a shallow machined relief near the splines on the stub shaft, known as the Machined Spline Saver.

This design helps eliminate stress concentrations caused by grooving from the tooling used to produce the splines on the stub shaft. This spline groove area is a common failure point on CV joint stub shafts.

4340 Chromoly Axle Shafts

The supplied axle shafts are manufactured from 4340 chromoly steel.

The CV joint end of the axle shafts is 30-spline, while the differential end is 31-spline.
