Longfield Nissan Patrol Y60 30-Spline CV Joint & Axle Kit

The Longfield™ Nissan Patrol Y60 30-Spline CV Joint & Axle Kit is a heavy-duty front axle upgrade for the Nissan Patrol Y60 / GQ.

The Longfield gun-drilled 30-spline CV joints are manufactured from chromoly steel and precision polished to remove imperfections which could create stress risers. The internal components are manufactured from 4340 chromoly steel and dual heat treated for increased strength.

Gun Drilled CV Joint Greasing System

Each CV joint features an M8 grease nipple at the end of the stub shaft and is gun drilled through the centre, allowing grease to pass through the grease nipple directly into the internal components.

This makes servicing and re-greasing the CV joints considerably easier, without having to dismantle the axle simply to grease the joint.

Machined Spline Saver

The 30-spline CV joints feature a shallow machined relief near the splines on the stub shaft, known by Longfield as the Machined Spline Saver.

This is designed to reduce stress concentrations caused by the spline machining process. The spline area can be a common failure point on heavily loaded CV stub shafts.

4340 Chromoly Axle Shafts

The supplied front axle shafts are manufactured from 4340 chromoly steel. The CV joint end of the axle shafts is 30-spline and the differential end is 31-spline.
