Fully Refurbished Suzuki SJ / Samurai Transfer Box - With Sumo Gears 4.16, 4.9, 6.4 Ratio's

A fully refurbished Suzuki SJ / Samurai transfer case, complete with a choice of SUMO Gear low ratio gears installed.

Often known as a "Crawler box" or "Rocklobster box" these are a must have item, if you have fitted bigger tyres as the gearing becomes too high causing a lack of power at low speed and increased strain on the clutch. These boxes make driving on and off road much more controlled and enjoyable.

Available in the following gear ratio's

4.16:1 - Low Range Reduction 84%, High Range 12%, Tyre size 29-30"

4.9:1 - Low Range Reduction 115%, High Range 16%, Tyre size 30-31"

6.5:1 - Low Range Reduction 181%, High Range 17%, Tyre size 31"+

These transfer boxes are fully stripped down, cleaned and bead blasted to make them look next to new. All mounting holes are clean and checked and repaired if needed to give a hassle-free installation. All bearings are replaced with new, and the case is painted silver along with the flanges in black. A new shifter sheet and stick gator is installed along with new springs for the selector balls. A 6mm breather adapter is added and a length of 6mm pipe is included to keep water away from the valuable internals. Then finally the 4wd switch is checked and replaced if needed.

With these boxes getting pretty rare and thin on the ground, the basic price includes a refurbished transfer box without the flanges and transfer stick. We offer the option to order refurbished flanges and transfer sticks for a small amount but they are also in short supply as when boxes arrive for refurbishment many are missing these flanges and transfer sticks. There is an option to order new parts but these carry an increased cost with being new parts.

The price is an outright purchase with no core exchange needed, but we do offer a £150 store credit for a useable exchange box (Contact us for more details)

We offer both small and large flanges in the 80mm PCD (8mm bolts) and 85mm PCD (10mm bolts), but sorry don't offer the transfer box handbrake assembly.
