General Terms and Conditions

Payment

We accept payments via Debit/Credit Cards, PayPal, Postal Orders, insured Cash, Cheques, or direct Bank Transfer.

We do not store credit card details and do not share customer details with any third parties, except where necessary to fulfil your order.

UK Postage

Orders placed before 1:00 PM (UK time) are usually dispatched the same day. Small items are sent via Royal Mail, and heavy or bulky items are shipped using DHL or UPS.

Trailmaster products are stocked in Germany and are not eligible for next-day delivery. Expected delivery time is 3–6 working days.

AVO Shocks are custom-built to order and typically take between 3 days to 4 weeks depending on the manufacturer’s production schedule.

Overseas Postage

International shipments for small items are sent via Royal Mail International Signed For. Most items, however, are shipped via DHL.

Import Duties and Taxes: For orders outside the UK, customers are responsible for any applicable import duties, taxes, and handling fees. DHL also applies a handling charge (visit DHL.com for details). Refusal to pay duties will result in the parcel being returned and shipping charges (both ways) will be deducted from any refund.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the items ordered are allowed into the destination country. We are not responsible for any customs rejections or additional certificates required locally.

For EU orders, we collect duties and taxes in advance. DHL will handle customs payments on your behalf, so the price you see at checkout is the final delivered price.

Currency

Our website processes all transactions in GBP. The currency changer is for guidance only (updated every 24 hours). You will be charged in GBP and minor currency conversion fluctuations may apply.

Order Cancellations

To cancel an order, please contact us immediately via helpdesk ticket using the subject line "Order Cancellation" and include your Order ID.

If your order has not yet been dispatched, we will issue a full refund minus the transaction fee (typically around 3%). This amount may vary and is non-negotiable.

Once dispatched, cancellations are no longer accepted. However, you may return the goods as outlined in the Returns section.

General

All modifications sold on www.jimnybits.com (RLP Engineering Ltd) are designed for off-road use. We accept no liability for injuries or damage caused by installation or use of any product.

Modified vehicles may handle differently. It is the customer’s responsibility to inspect all fasteners regularly and to adjust driving accordingly. Upgraded components can strain OEM parts, increasing wear and risk of failure.

Always check your delivery on arrival for missing or incorrect items before scheduling installations. We are not responsible for any third-party fitting or labour costs due to incomplete or incorrect deliveries.

We reserve the right to update any content on the website without prior notice. Specifications, images, and product details may differ between regions and manufacturers.

Note: For Vitara / Grand Vitara front control arms, rubber bushes are not pre-fitted. These must be fitted by the customer after delivery.

Liability

This website and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. RLP Engineering Ltd disclaims all liability for damages, losses, or data issues arising from the use of this website.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Modified Vehicles

Check all nuts/bolts after the first 50 miles, and then every 1000 miles.
Have suspension, steering, and driveline components inspected every 3000 miles by a qualified mechanic.
Inform your insurance provider of any vehicle modifications.
Some parts are not legal for road use in the UK/EU and are sold for show/off-road use only.
By driving on public roads with these products, you accept all associated legal risks and responsibilities.

Frontal Protection Regulation

Certain products may fall under the UK/EU Frontal Protection Regulations (enforced since May 25th, 2007). These items are not legal for road use and must only be used off-road. Installing such parts for highway use could result in legal consequences and may invalidate your insurance.

Warranty

Products advertised with a Lifetime Warranty are valid for the original purchaser only and cover manufacturing defects under normal use. Cosmetic finishes such as paint are covered for 90 days. This warranty excludes labour, shipping costs, and wear from misuse or competition use.

Warranty claims require the defective product to be returned first. Pre-replacement items must be paid in full and will be refunded once the original part is verified as faulty. Only one claim is allowed per SKU under the lifetime warranty.

Warranty Exclusions

Jimnybits is not responsible for third-party warranties or unauthorised modifications. Warranty is void in cases of neglect, racing use, incorrect installation, or use of non-authorised parts.

All standard products come with a 12-month non-transferable warranty unless stated otherwise.
